Director Paul Verhoeven’s original RoboCop (1987) featured one of Basil Poledouris’ most famous themes and beloved scores. Though he wasn’t on board for Irvin Kershner’s 1990 sequel RoboCop 2, Basil did return for the third installment of the hit franchise with director Fred Dekker’s RoboCop 3 in 1993.

Basil Poledouris’ epic score for Under Siege 2: Dark Territory comes from 1995, when Poledouris was turning out one classic score after another. He was one of the great composers of thrilling action music and could also write amazing themes. But the 90s were a time of 30-minute albums and the original Under Siege 2 release came in at just 28:00. With an expanded running time of 75:00, this Deluxe Edition digital release is an epic revelation.
Aboard a hijacked train in Colorado, there is only one man who can thwart a renegade techno-expert from destroying the Pentagon and Washington, D.C. Steven Seagal reprises the role of Casey Ryback, the mild-mannered cook and resourceful ex-Navy SEAL.

Forrest Taft (Steven Seagal) is putting his considerable talents as a fighter and marksman to use as a hired gun for the sleazy oil tycoon Michael Jennings (Michael Caine). The latter's bottom-line tunnel vision has him destroying entire communities if it means a bigger profit for his business. While in Alaska taking care of some business for his amoral boss, however, Taft meets a native Eskimo woman (Joan Chen) who helps him to discover the error of his ways and pursue a more righteous path.
